Pickup from Cochin Railway Station / Airport and move to Guruvayoor for having a darshan in the famous Guruvayoor Temple, the abode of Shri Guruvayoorapan, is one of the main attractions among hindu devotees. From early morning itself a lot of devotees come to the temple for the darshana. One can also find images of different gods, like Lord Ganapathy, Lord Ayyappa, Edathedathu Kavil Bhagavathy etc. After having the darshana one can have the lunch ( Annadanam) from the temple itself in traditional kerala style food. After the food, drive to Punnathur Kotta or Anakotta (Elephant Fort), 2 kms from the temple town of Guruvayoor. So many elephants – under one shelter-just amazing feeling, especially for children. It’s a rare experience not to be missed. After having lunch have one more temple i.e., Mammiyoor Sri Mahadeva Temple, a temple where the main deity is Lord shiva in the form of Uma Maheshwara.

After breakfast drive to Vadakumnathan Temple, one of the largest and ancient Siva temple in Kerala. Here, the temple and the Mural paintings are declared as a National Monument by the Union Government. It has a large ground with area of about 9 acres-where the thrissur puram is practiced. Next move to Shakthan Thampuran Temple also named as Vadakkekara Palace built blend of Kerala’s ancient architectural style-Nalukettu. It offers an architectural wonder with a store house of knowledge-with an elaborate museum. After having your lunch next visit Archaeological Museum- a major attraction for tourists. One can see various specimens from different eras of history. An interesting collection is a set of manuscripts written on dry palm leaves. A heritage garden is also there within the museum complex. Move to the Thrissur Zoo blended with the Museum. The zoo is a must visit to all animal lovers where you can see different animals and also you will be enthralled by the extensive variety of fauna sited here..

After breakfast proceed to Athirapally Waterfalls (also known as “Niagara Falls of India”), the stunning waterfalls which is like a gift from nature is one of the main tourist attractions. To reach the waterfalls we have to take a short walk through the Athirapally Forest. Many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna are found in the forest. After reaching the waterfalls the view of having a combination of greenery with the crystal clear water is just tremendous. A perfect destination for the trekking and nature loving people. The waterfalls here flow through the Vazhachal forest toward the Arabian Sea. After lunch if time permits we can also visit the Vazhachal Waterfalls, which is also a famous tourist spot.

After breakfast proceed to Munnar. On the route visit one of the most enchanting Waterfalls in Kerala-CheeyapparaWaterfalls on the Kochi-Madhurai Highway (NH 49). After reaching Munnar have a freshup and then let’s go to Blossom Hydel Park-just 3 kms away from Munnar Town.Best place for nature lovers- a colorful park with rich beautiful flowers and greenery. It offers adventure trails, boating, nature walks, bird watching with facilities for cycling, roller skating, badminton as well.
Return back to the hotel / resort.
After breakfast have a ride to Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai) – a magnificent view of rare species of Nilgiri Tahr, or visit Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary which is also a part of Eravikulam National Park. After Lunch, proceed to Mattupetty Dam, Kunadala Lake and Eco Point,to have a beautiful view of Munnar and experience it with boating. Evening visit to the Lakkam Waterfalls, one of the most preferred destinations chosen by the tourists.
